Frequently Asked Questions

Does Protein Bond require curing under a lamp?

No. Protein Bond is an air-dry bonding agent — it does not require curing under a UV or LED lamp. Apply a thin coat, allow it to dry completely until the surface appears matte and dry to the touch, then proceed with your product application.

Can I use Protein Bond under gel polish?

Yes. Protein Bond is designed to be used under gel polish, hard gel, Biab and acrylic (liquid and powder) systems. It primes the natural nail surface and provides a stickier anchor for all three product types.

Is Protein Bond suitable for liquid-and-powder (acrylic) systems?

Yes. Protein Bond is fully compatible with liquid-and-powder acrylic systems. It bonds to the keratin structure of the natural nail and prepares the surface for acrylic adhesion — without the use of corrosive acid primers.

Does Protein Bond need to be removed before infills or rebalances?

Protein Bond is applied to the natural nail plate during initial prep only. It is removed naturally during your standard file-and-prep process at infill appointments — no special removal product is required.

Is Protein Bond acid-free?

Yes. Protein Bond is a non-acid primer. It uses a proprietary polymer to bond to the natural nail's keratin structure, creating adhesion without the corrosive effects associated with traditional acid-based primers.

What are the ingredients?
